As the largest MedTech society in Europe, we explore how the fields of Biomedicine, Technology, and Enterprise overlap to shape the rapidly expanding field of MedTech to help our members understand and find their own place in the MedTech world. We do this by running national events such as our Hackathon and AI in Medicine Conference, the largest student held a conference in UCL history, cutting edge talks from world-renowned speakers, networking opportunities with top MedTech companies, and our new online platform, The MedTech Portal.

We're back! MedTech UCL is very excited to announce the relaunch of our annual MEDTECH MENTORSHIP PROGRAM!

The aim of this 1-month-long program is to provide advice, guidance, and training to students interested in pursuing a career in the MedTech industry be it in:
- Entrepreneurship
- Tech
- Biomedicine
- Research & Academia

... we've got you covered! Selected mentees will be assigned to an experienced mentor working in the field they are interested in joining.

Come along to this online talk by Esra Baykal, Co-founder and CEO of Moodcare. Moodcare is a mindfulness-based cognitive therapy app utilising AI and CBT to help users manage stress, depression and mental health challenges. The company has an aim of making mental health services more accessible for people.

Esra’s talk will focus on:

➡️ Integration of AI into the field of psychology and the techniques used
➡️ What Moodcare is about and how they use AI to improve their tool

⭐We are pleased to announce this wonderful opportunity for MedTech UCL members. UCL PhD researcher and co-founder of the innovative biotech startup @enteromics , Mariam Elgabry, has launched the 2021 Internet of Ingestible Things Hackathon! ⭐💫

💡This hackathon will allow you to learn more about ingestible medical devices and brainstorm an idea for a novel ingestible medical device. Device ideas will be judged by an expert panel and the winning team will receive a cash prize of £1000.

🎙There will also be a series of talks on important issues in this fast-moving technological area.
